Janta Curfew: Richa Chadha, Sonu Sood, Hina Khan, Soni Razdan SLAM People For Hanging Out In Large Groups, 'Stupid Level Max'
The whole nation, yesterday, observed Janta Curfew under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidelines. It was imposed to avoid the further spreading of coronavirus in India. During the same, all the Indian citizens were asked to not to step outside their houses from 7 am to 9 pm, and at 5 pm, they were requested to gather in their balconies or doors and clap or ring utensils and laud those who are working hard to help us get rid of the deadly virus.

However, for the over-enthusiastic that Indians sometimes get, a huge number of people, in different parts of the world, showed their solidarity by getting on the streets and gathering in huge numbers, contrary to what the Janta Curfew instructions were. This didn’t go down very well with a streak of celebrities, who slammed all those gathered on the streets and encouraged in spreading of coronavirus. The list includes Richa Chadha, Vir Das, Hina Khan, Soni Razdan, Jay Bhanushali, Sonu Sood and Ronit Roy among others.

The Fukrey actress lashed out at all the rule-breakers by sharing a video of them and wrote, “Stupid level max. This is the opposite of a #jantacurfew.” Sonu Sood highlighted how this fails to serve the purpose of what the PM wanted, “Now this defeats the whole purpose. I mean......why??????” Ronit Roy expressed shock by tweeting, “I mean seriously?????????” Soni Razdan wrote, “So in some places or rather many places, Corona had a tough time surviving today. It found no hosts to hop into. Whereas in others .... it had a goddam party !!!”

Hina Khan, too, asked everyone to stay safe and expressed her displeasure by writing, “A Curfew by definition means for us to not gather around on the streets. Pledging your support and appreciation for the frontline aid workers is not the same as increasing the possibility of contracting this disease which has covered the world. #StayAway to #StaySafe”

It’s about time people start taking this national crisis seriously.
